Veronica John has worked extensively in Private Equity throughout Asia, Central and Eastern Europe.

Ms. John previously worked as a Portfolio Director at Com¬monwealth Development Corporation (CDC Group) and was responsible for its Asian emerging markets private equity fund-of-funds investment portfolio.

Prior to joining CDC , Ms. John was a Principal Investment Officer at Asian Development Bank from 2002-2007, and was responsible for its private equity investment funds operations. Prior to joining ADB, Ms. John lived in Kazakhstan and worked in Central Asia from 1994-2002. During this time, she was a Vice President at Central Asian American Enterprise Fund and managed the Fund’s Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan equity and loan portfolios. She has also served as Project Director with Carana Corporation and responsible for the USAID project for small-scale privatization and post-privatization enterprise support.

She has over 20 years of experience in international business and finance with a regional emphasis on Asia, Russia, Central Asia and Central Europe. She holds a master of business administration from the George Washington University, and a bachelor’s degree in international studies and political science from Elmira College, United States
