- What is the AIC?
The AIC (Alternative Investments Conference) is a two day event designed to provide professionals, academics and students with the opportunity to meet and discuss Private Equity and Hedge Fund related topics.
- When and at what time will the AIC be held?
The AIC will be held on the 25th and 26th of April. The preliminary schedule can be found here.
- Where will the AIC be held?
The conference will be held at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Please click here for maps and directions.
- Who is hosting the AIC?
The conference is hosted by the LSESU Private Equity Society and the LSESU Business Society. Click here for more information.
- How many people are expected to attend?
We expect a total of 230 visitors to attend the conference.
- Do I have to register in advance?
Yes, attendance to the conference is by registration only. Registration opens March 12th and closes March 25th
- How much does it cost to attend?
The cost of attendance is £20 for LSESU Private Equity and Business Society members, £30 for LSE students who are not members of these societies, £60 for students from other schools, £100 for alumni and £200 for corporate attendees. This fee includes two meals and a reception on each day of the conference.
- Do members of the LSESU Business Society and LSESU Private Equity Society have to register if they plan to attend?
Yes. Everyone who wishes to attend the conference must register.
- How do I register for the conference?
To register for the conference on-line, click here. Please note that we do not accept phone registrations.
- Will my registration cover both conference days?
Yes, a successful registration covers both days.
- How will I know that my registration was successful?
We will e-mail you an official invite once we have accepted your registration. Once you are accepted you will be asked for payment within seven days.
- Can I enter / leave the AIC at any time?
As a registered attendee, you can enter and leave the conference at any time between the talks and workshops. The preliminary schedule can be found here.
- What overnight accommodation is available?
AIC attendees are expected to arrange their own accommodation. Click here for accomodation suggestions and discounted hotel rates.
- What is the conference dress code?
The conference dress code is business smart or business casual.
- Will I receive a confirmation email?
You should receive a confirmation email after your application has been submitted. If you do not receive an email, contact us at contact@lseaic.co.uk
- When will I find out if I have been selected?
We will notify you by email on the 30th of March if your application is successful.
- When will I have to pay?
If your application is successful then you will be asked to make your payment by the 7th of April 2007. Payments are accepted by credit card, debit card and paypal.
- What is included in the price?
Registration fees include all daytime conference events as well as a reception and meal each day of the conference. Registration fees do not cover transportation or accommodation
